About the association

We were established out of the need to provide comprehensive help.

The Association “Servants of Suffering” was established out of the need to help people in need, especially those at risk of social exclusion. Our work includes spiritual support guided by the values of empathy, accompaniment in suffering, social solidarity and service to others.

At the same time, we develop organisational and psychological support. We place particular emphasis on terminally ill people and their families who face difficult life circumstances after the loss of loved ones or during long-term illness.

Who we support

We are present where presence and practical support are needed.

Terminally ill people

We coordinate forms of volunteering and support for people who face illness and its everyday consequences.

Families and loved ones

We support families in difficult life situations during a loved one’s long-term illness and after their death.

Children, young people and older adults

We carry out integration and educational activities to counter loneliness, social exclusion and marginalisation.

We understand help as closeness, presence and a concrete response to need.

Our activities

Spiritual, psychological, organisational and social support.

We help in different areas, responding to the real needs of people living with illness, their loved ones and bereaved families.

Our presence is practical and concrete. We combine volunteering, conversation, integration and educational activities to accompany people through difficult times.

Future plan

Bereaved Families Support Centre

In the future, we would like to establish a Bereaved Families Support Centre — a place of support for families who, after the death of a loved one or during their illness, face many different needs. It is intended to be a space for accompaniment, conversation, psychological support and rebuilding everyday functioning.
